"Born at home after deciding a hospital birth wasn't for us (at 35 weeks)"

Georgia's birth story

Mother's Height: 6'2

How was your pregnancy?

Awesome!  I loved every minute of it :)

How did you feel about your upcoming birth?

Excited, a little unsure of what to expect

Description of your birth experience:

It was intense and much more painful than i thought it would be ( I was convinced if i was really good at relaxing it wouldn't hurt at all.  hahaha) but really incredible and empowering.  I loved giving birth at home and i'll definitely do it again with our next baby

How did you feel after the birth (first month)?

Really sore, was kind of weepy the first 2 weeks then i felt much better and took to motherhood like a fish to water.  The first month or two after his birth I would relive the birth experience and beam with pride.

How did you feel six months after the birth? One year? Now?

My baby is just 6 months old now and I feel great.  it's impossible for me to recall any of the pain associated with the birth.  I vaguely remember that it hurt but only because i wrote it all down in my birth story.

What did you learn from this birth?

Try sitting on the toilet to push

Any words of wisdom to impart?

Always trust your instincts when it comes to pregnancy and birth.  And take bradley birth classes! ;)
