How was your pregnancy?
Hard...risk of miscarriage in beginning, bleeding at 13 weeks, slight dilation and softening at 26weeks, light bedrest 3rd trimester, along with terbutaline as needed. Baby was 1 week overdue. :D
Description of your birth experience:
Great! They did strip my membranes at a day shy of 41 weeks because I was walking around at 7cm. She was born after four hours of labor. Transition was very very fast (usual for me) and birth was easy...no pushing necessary for me.
How did you feel after the birth (first month)?
Great! I was proud of myself and so glad I had another homebirth, this time a waterbirth.
How did you feel six months after the birth? One year? Now?
Not there yet, but still feeling great! (she's 4.5 months)
What did you learn from this birth?
To trust my body. I was so scared of a premature baby, and my body still hung on until she was ready.
Any words of wisdom to impart?
Trust yourself. And your body!
