Mother's Height: 5' 3 1/2"

How was your pregnancy? Very normal.  I gained 60 pounds, had some very minimal swelling, some slight anemia around 27 weeks that was quickly corrected.

How did you feel about your upcoming birth? Excited

Description of your birth experience:

I had some very mild "early" labor for about a day before labor really started, but was walking around and going out during this time.  Labor got serious around 8:30 pm, I labored all night, pushed for about half an hour, and the baby was born at 9:30 am.  Very minor tearing, stitches which I know feel were unnecessary.  It was incredibly calm and peaceful and amazing and afterwards I decided I wanted ten kids (I've since reigned that goal in to three or four).

How did you feel after the birth (first month)?

I took a ballet class at nine days postpartum, and performed in a dance show at two months pp

How did you feel six months after the birth? One year? Now? Six months after the birth to one year after the birth were the best physically of my life.  I have never liked my body better both in looks and in function.  Now (after two more births) I still love my body but it's definitely showing the signs of age and babies!

What did you learn from this birth? How good it could be!

Any words of wisdom to impart? If you want a homebirth at all, do it your first time!  Release your fear!!!
