Mother's Height: 5' 2" (Weight: 108 lbs. pre-pregnancy)
Born at home in a five and a half hour labor (second baby).
Good pregnancy, but feeling very heavy by end (gained 35 lbs).
Very good birth, quick labor, pushed baby out in 16 minutes (asked my midwife after how long it took). Very hard to push out, but done very quickly. No molding on head. Pretty big vaginal tear but very comfortably healed eleven weeks later.
Didn't know how big my baby was before birth (no ultrasounds) and happy to just trust my body and know I could birth any size of baby that I could grow. My first child (daughter) was 6 lbs., 12 oz. two days after I gave birth. My sister, who is my exact size and slightly thinner, gave birth to her first, a baby boy 8 lbs., 10 oz., also at home in a quick and comfortable labor.
