How was your pregnancy?  Fairly normal, slightly more uncomfortable than my previous pregnancies during the last month.

How did you feel about your upcoming birth?  Confident that my midwife could handle any circumstances surrounding the birth.

Description of your birth experience: No previous cesareans, this was my 7th pregnancy, 6th vaginal delivery.

How did you feel after the birth (first month)?  Sore, he was a 3 minute shoulder dystocia and my midwife had to really maneuver him to get his shoulders out of an awkward position and under my pubic bone.

How did you feel six months after the birth? One year? Now?  I was pleased with the skill with which my midwife handled the birth and was very glad I wasn’t in a hospital where I am sure I would have probably been pressured for a cesarean.

What did you learn from this birth?  Nothing really new for me, just confirmation that a home birth with an experienced and skilled midwife is the way to go.
