It was a party, full of love and support. I was not uncomfortable for much of it, and Ian continues to be an extraordinarily happy and healthy young boy.
How did you feel after the birth (first month)? Great. Blessed.
How did you feel six months after the birth? One year? Now? Well, it’s been 2 months. We’re still overjoyed.
What did you learn from this birth? That what people had told me about birth wasn’t true for me for this birth, that I CAN do it just fine without an epidural or medical intervention, and that my body knows what it’s doing.
Any words of wisdom to impart? If you’re pregnant, educate yourself on what will happen in a hospital and strongly consider an out-of-hospital birth.
