Um, yeah, I'll have to tell my friend this. She had a planned C-section due to transverse lie (possibly technically an "emergency" since her water had broken, so the C-section had to be done earlier than it was planned; still, it was about 5 hours from the time her water broke until she went into surgery, so it certainly wasn't emergent!). Anyway, she couldn't even get in and out of bed without help until three weeks after the birth; and she said that if she knew she would have to have another C-section, she'd just not have any more children at all!
