Oh man, I can already think of a few I've heard. How about "That baby is never going to fit" by an OB to a nurse as he reaches for the scissors to cut an episiotomy. Apparently he cut episiotomies 100% of the time so it's funny he felt the need to justify it...apparently 0% of babies can fit without a cut.
Our CBE email list is currently having a discussion on "stupid things OBs have said". Some major "DO WHAT????" moments there! I am so definitely RSS-ing this blog!
I bet both of you have some crazy stories.
