Name that Fetal Position
I’m foregoing better judgment, as I already mommyblogged something on Sunday, and posting a belly shot from four years ago to play along with Barb’s Observing Fetal Position (without one’s hands) post.
I had just awakened and found the baby in this position. Primip, almost 38 weeks. Name that position.

We always thought these pictures were kind of freaky-cool.

I'd say OP.
I was thinking OA :-)
I have no idea but I have some shots like that of my own that always make me laugh when I look at them. Sometimes I would wake up at 4 a.m. to shoot video of Jacob making triangles and trapezoids with my belly. :P
I posted recently pics on my blog about our little Starfish. He is always ALL OVER THE PLACE! He still thinks he has a penthouse suite instead of a tiny no-tell motel room. :) I have no idea what position those above are but mine never stays in one spot long!
Jaimey, I just clicked over and read that you're 4cm and almost 40 weeks. I'm glad you get to meet your little one soon. Enjoy! :)
Oh, and LOA. The angular bump is fetus booty.
My second pregnancy was so dull because the placenta was anterior and no one could find her in there.
I was going to ask "Jill is that baby booty by your belly button?" but then I had to go and read the comments. Great photos.
I see other people suggested *real* positions. It looks to me like "downward facing baby." :)
Ha ha! She didn't engage in many calm activities like yoga, though. She was just resting between jumping jacks.
That's an LOA baby sticking her butt out if I ever saw one! You can practically see her back and butt in the second picture.
I was going to guess asynclitic with the bum being the bump and the head being somewhere near the hip at that angle. Feet in mom's upper right quadrant.
I had just had a midwife in a prenatal hospital visit tell me a week or so prior that she was "slightly transverse."
Thanks Jill! I am just hopeful to get to use my doula! Nothing new to report yet, I think I am more dilated but nothing official... hopefully soon I will be introducing hotdog with a real name and a sweet little face. :)
This is what my girl is doing all of the time- her booty is constantly sticking out of my belly. 39 weeks today! It is fun trying to guess what position she's in- she tends to switch sides some days.
I believe that big ol' lump would be a head, so I say breech.
Your babies bum was right off to the left of your belly while both of mine kept their bums off to the right. Your belly pics looks similar to what I saw going on with mine. Ahhh, the memories...
I was going to say transverse breech, LOA.
Looks breech. Where's my ultrasound?
She was vertex. With a big booty.
