Please consider setting your DVR to record Elizabeth Cohen’s documentary, The Empowered Patient, on Saturday, October 2, 2010 at 7 p.m. and 10 p.m. ET on CNN. The program will also air on Sunday, October 3 at 2 a.m., 7 p.m. and 10 p.m. I had the opportunity to watch the documentary in advance and I think you’ll enjoy it.
Many of us are familiar with CNN’s Senior Medical Correspondent Elizabeth Cohen as a reassuring voice both on television and online. After three years writing the Empowered Patient blog at CNN.com, Cohen jumped in with both feet and wrote a book of the same title.
Tomorrow’s post will be the transcript of an interview with Elizabeth Cohen. She told me about her new book and we had the chance to discuss the unique challenges of being an empowered pregnant patient. In the meanwhile, here are some links to Cohen’s work.
