Today I got to listen as my husband explained to his father why our baby will be born at home, and then cited his own birth as being an "unnecesarean". Few Mondays are so awesome, I had no idea he memorized my rants so well.

In other news, I lurk here and I'm trying to break that habit. Hi!

Melek, I am going to go do that right now. I was about to be a weirdo on Facebook when you clicked "like" by writing in all caps, "MELEK, I SEEEEEEE YOU."

Done, Melek. Go grab that Chux pad we talked about.

I am just a little bit stressed thinking my midwife has a day off each week, and I could end up with another midwife who I barely met. I shouldn't worry about this, but I am. I have really only had MY provider attend two births...my 1st was an OB with my 1st baby and then my ;7th was the midwife who didn't leave my side.

Also, I have avoided all blood tests for chromosomal issues...no penta screen, no early sono for fluid at the back of the neck. So I decided to do the level to and there was a choroid plexus cyst. Great. Being 41 means I already have a soft marker, then baby is measuring a week smaller. No big deal but it's just a thing to think about. Lovely!

Just ranting. I shouldn't be a whiny person about my midwife being there, nor should I worry about the sonogram. But I want as natural a birth as possible (first time I've tested with group b strep in a UTI...). I have to have an IV with antibiotics, meaning I have to have artificial fluid entry into my body. Ugh. And they usually do the pit after birth with an IV. I don't want to be a large beached whale trying to breastfeed!

Oh well...
