Oregon Cesarean Rates by Hospital, 2010

Unlike other states and in addition to method of delivery data, the Oregon Health Authority publicly reports numbers for birth centers and home births, differentiating between planned and unplanned home births. The data are taken from birth certificates in Oregon Vital Records.
Numbers are from the document Final Method of Delivery by County and Facility, Oregon Occurrence Births, 2010 [pdf], which is footnoted with the following: “Preliminary data are undergoing editing procedures, which result in frequent and significant changes. Data can be used for tracking recent health events, but are not appropriate for use in statistical analyses.”

It'd be nice to know how many intended home and birth center births ended in transfer and what were those outcomes. Instead, I assume the c/s rate of each hospital includes HB, UC, & BC transfers that required cesarean section.
Hurray Andaluz Waterbirth Center! My baby girl is in those statistics :D labortrials, you're correct to assume that because I knew several women who went to Andaluz and ended up with transfer c-sections, while the statistics say there was 0%.

@labortrials is right.
There is legislation (HB 2380) going through the Oregon legislature to improve birth data collection to accurately record midwife-attended births (including transports). The Oregon Midwifery Council, the Oregon Medical Association and Oregon Health & Sciences University are all bill supporters.
