The CesareanRates.com fundraiser ended yesterday and, while I can’t do everything I would like to do on the amount that was donated, I am extremely grateful and pleased to have a chunk to work with that will allow me to update and add more obstetric data to the site. I am now accountable to 72 people to create a product with which they are pleased. I’m glad it worked out!
I have my After Fundraiser Jumpsuit on and it is shaping up to be a great weekend. If anyone can help me find a guy that looks like the lead singer of Alabama with whom I can lounge in leisure wear, I’d appreciate it.
That reminds me of something. I was getting bored and slap-happy and sent some Top Ten Cesarean Rates lists to a friend for her perusal. This was my favorite:
After creating a few of them and realizing I was superimposing public health data only on hairy white guys (David Hasselhoff, Tom Jones, etc.), I needed to stop and take stock of my life.
So it looks like in a week or two, I will plunge back into snooping around and gathering data, which oddly is what I would most like to do with my life. Mostly because I can wear jumpsuits and housecoats. Thank you very much to everyone who saw enough value in this work to contribute.
